The role

- May be offered as a 4:3, 4:3, 8:6 OR 8:6, 4:3 OR 8:6 roster
- Be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising both Greenfields and Brownfields Exploration programs across the Davyhurst Operations, including; drill planning, logistics, geological mapping, geochemical sampling, contractor management, and ensuring high-quality geological data acquisition to support discovery and project generation
- Lead and mentor a growing team of Exploration Geologists and field staff
- Deliver high‑quality Exploration outcomes, ensuring programs are executed safely, efficiently, and aligned with OBM’s strategic growth objectives
- Provide guidance to the Exploration site team to undertake activities including target generation,



target ranking and advancement of prospects along the value chain
- Work closely with the Resource Development team to allow for rapid resource conversion, resource definition and extension, culminating in JORC reportable resources and the discovery of new mines (in line with the OBM strategy of the “Drive to 300koz+”)
- Encourage a team culture of open peer review of Exploration projects and geological debate, to harness the knowledge of the team and bolster employee skill level, while ensuring on-the-job training is completed to upskill the team and maintain high technical standards
- Report directly to the statutory Exploration Manager, ensuring compliance with WHS (Mines) Regulations, cultural heritage requirements, and environmental standards across all Exploration activities

About you

- Tertiary qualified Geologist with recent and relevant regional Exploration experience (ideally, 10+ years postgraduate)
- Completion of statutory supervisor training with DMPE for adherence to Work Health and Safety Regulation requirements
- Robust leadership skills – ability to motivate geologists and field staff to achieving goals, foster high work quality and a winning team culture




- General geological experience including geological modelling, sampling techniques and reserve and resource estimation
- Drill supervision experience
- Passionate about making a new discovery and converting ounces into Resource
- Exposure to mining, mine geology, and operational experience is highly regarded
- Current C-Class manual drivers’ licence
- A competent user of industry standard mining and GIS software, preferably Leapfrog/Micromine and QGIS
