Position Description

Full-Time 10/4 or 5/2 roster position available. Seeking a motivated person capable of efficient data entry, using a variety of computer programs, a skilled organiser, liaising directly with Feedlot Management, and positive dealings with team members. Excellent prospect for an Agribusiness or Agricultural graduate.

Requirements

- Proven computer literacy and record-keeping skills.
- Experience and skill using programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, FY3000, and StockaID.
- Experience in the agriculture/feedlot industry is an advantage.
- Cattle and horse handling skills advantageous.
- Long-term commitment (not suitable for temporary VISA holders)

Property Description

With a license to feed 20,000 head, the Wallumba feedlot grain finishes the majority of MDH's cattle. After being purchased in 2001, Wallumba has changed MDH from a grass-finishing operation to a backgrounding operation, with 90 per cent of MDH's cattle grain-finished in the feedlot. Wallumba, in addition to Nangram, has provided significant 'drought proofing' capabilities to the MDH operation, ensuring cattle can be finished even when the northern properties experience a dry season.
