Overview A market-leading national engineering business with sites across Australia is looking to recruit a skilled Finance Data Specialist on a permanent basis. The role is responsible for the management of reporting dashboards, ensuring the integrity and quality of the data.

Responsibilities - Data Integration & Architecture: Manage the integration of financial software and legacy platforms during mergers, system upgrades, or migrations.

- ETL of financial data: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading of financial data from various operational systems into a centralised reporting framework.
- Data reconciliation: Design automated controls and interfaces to ensure data flows are reconciled across systems.
- Financial Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimise operational and reporting risks.
- Ensure financial reporting meets local statutory requirements, taxation laws (e.g., BAS, FBT), and applicable accounting standards.




- Data Governance & Security: Implement data governance frameworks to ensure financial metrics, data security, and privacy controls are robust and automated.
- Chart of Accounts management and data-mapping: Enforce rules to ensure consistent definition and categorisation of financial data across business units.
- Regularly review metrics and data patterns to detect discrepancies, integrity issues, or fraud risks.

Qualifications & Skills - Experience in a similar role

- Experience in reporting systems, data warehousing, and business intelligence products
- Stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated experience in the application of data management governance and principles
- Experience with data analysis toolsets
- Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Excel skills (large data sets, pivot tables, complex formulas)
