We're looking for a Financial Advisor to join our Melbourne office. You'll work with a sophisticated client base alongside experienced professionals, building trusted long-term relationships and delivering tailored financial strategies in a collaborative and supportive environment. Position Overview The Financial Advisor will work closely with one of our Melbourne Partners to support the delivery of high-quality financial advice and exceptional client outcomes for a high-net-worth client base. The role provides the opportunity to develop technical expertise, gain exposure to complex client strategies and contribute to the delivery of tailored private wealth solutions.
Working collaboratively with the Partner and administration team, you'll assist with the preparation and delivery of financial strategies, analyse complex financial information and ensure advice is delivered in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements. As a key member of the team, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional client outcomes and supporting the continued success of Garnaut Private Wealth.
Key Deliverables
- Work closely with an experienced Partner of the firm to develop personalised financial strategies and recommendations.
- Participate in client meetings and assist with the delivery of tailored financial advice.
- Support the delivery of high-quality financial advice to a high-net-worth client base.
- Analyse financial information, cash flows and complex financial structures.
- Prepare and present Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and other client advice documentation.
- Build strong client relationships while supporting the delivery of exceptional client service.
- Work closely with the administration team to ensure the effective implementation of advice.
- Assist with ongoing client reviews and maintain regular client communication.
- Assist with monitoring client portfolios and identify ongoing strategic opportunities.
- Ensure all advice complies with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with demonstrated experience in financial planning or wealth management.
- A completed (or near completed) FASEA-approved qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and investment strategies.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using Xplan (or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
