Your new company A growing engineering and service business is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist / Workshop Technician to join their Sydney workshop team.
This is a hands-on role focused on machining, refurbishment and repair of industrial equipment.
You will work alongside experienced tradespeople servicing a range of mechanical equipment while contributing to workshop operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Your new role
This is a hands-on role focused on machining, refurbishment and repair of industrial equipment. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople servicing a range of mechanical equipment while contributing to workshop operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Manual lathe machining
Strip, assess and refurbish mechanical equipment
General fitting and assembly work
Equipment repair and reconditioning
Fault finding and inspection of components
Workshop maintenance and housekeeping
Complete service reports and job documentation
Assist with workshop and warehouse activities as required
What you'll need to succeed
Trade qualified Machinist, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or similar
Strong manual machining experience
Able to read engineering drawings
Experience working with rotating equipment, pumps, valves or mechanical assemblies highly regarded
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
