About Lantrak

Lantrak is one of Australia's leading providers of integrated material supply, material disposal, truck hire and plant hire solutions. Operating across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, we support many of Australia's largest infrastructure and civil construction projects with an extensive fleet of trucks, trailers, earthmoving equipment and mobile plant.

As our fleet continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day planning and coordination of our operations.

The Prospect

This isn't an administration role. We're looking for someone who understands heavy equipment, knows how sites operate and can keep multiple moving parts under control.

Working alongside our site and workshop teams, you'll be responsible for coordinating servicing, repairs and maintenance across Lantrak's fleet, ensuring our mechanics have the parts, information and priorities they need to keep equipment working.

You'll be dealing with mechanics, suppliers, dealerships and operational teams every day, balancing competing priorities while ensuring plant downtime is kept to a minimum.

Responsibilities

- Plan and schedule servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance across Lantrak's fleet.
- Allocate daily work to mechanics and monitor priorities.
- Raise purchase orders and procure parts, consumables and external services.
- Coordinate breakdowns and urgent repairs with mechanics and operational teams.
- Liaise with dealerships, suppliers and subcontract repairers to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.




- Source parts, negotiate pricing and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Track outstanding repairs and minimise equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using Lantrak's fleet management systems.
- Coordinate external servicing, warranty work and specialist repairs.

About You

We're looking for someone who already understands how a busy heavy vehicle or earthmoving business operates. You'll likely come from a background as a:
- Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
- Workshop Controller
- Service Advisor
- Service Manager
- Fleet Planner
- Workshop Scheduler

To be successful you'll have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience coordinating maintenance within the heavy vehicle, earthmoving or civil construction industry.
- Strong understanding of truck and earthmoving equipment maintenance.
- Experience scheduling multiple mechanics across numerous jobs.
- Experience raising purchase orders and coordinating procurement.
- Established relationships with suppliers, dealerships and repairers.
- Ability to prioritise competing maintenance demands.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and confidence learning internal systems.

A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will be highly regarded but is not essential.
