Our client is a major food and ingredients business operating throughout Australia and Recent Zealand and forms part of one of the world's largest food companies. A new, highly automated flour mill is being established in Ballarat, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced Flour Miller to join the business at an exciting stage of its development.

Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Flour Miller will operate and oversee the complete milling process, from wheat intake and conditioning through to milling, blending and bulk dispatch. The role will also help commission and optimise advanced Swiss milling technology and digital operating systems.

Role Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the complete flour milling process.
- Use digital systems and production data to optimise quality, yield and efficiency.
- Adjust process settings to maintain product specifications.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
- Lead shift operations and assist in training other team members.
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene,



GMP and HACCP compliance.

Requirements

- Several years' practical experience in flour milling.
- Strong knowledge of milling processes and wheat and flour characteristics.
- A recognised milling qualification or relevant technical education is highly regarded.
- Experience with automated plant and digital control systems.
- Good troubleshooting, communication and team leadership skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as the new mill moves into full production.

Location & Remuneration The position is based at a new flour mill in Ballarat, Victoria. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to secure a suitably experienced Flour Miller for this important appointment.
