Food & Beverage Supervisor – Events & Catering

Olio’s Fine Food is seeking an experienced and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our growing operations team.

Based at The Residence on Langley Park , this full-time position will focus primarily on the successful delivery of events, functions, banqueting and external catering, while also supporting Origin by Olio’s restaurant , the lobby bar and other food and beverage outlets as required.

This is an excellent chance for a motivated hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the floor, working across a diverse range of events and helping a growing hospitality business deliver consistently high standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, you will take an active leadership role in coordinating event preparation, directing front-of-house teams and overseeing service delivery.

You will work across conferences, corporate events, gala dinners, cocktail functions, private dining experiences and external catering assignments. The role also involves assisting with event logistics, equipment preparation, site visits and the coordination of off-site operations.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is organised, dependable and confident leading teams in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise food and beverage service across events, functions, banquets and external catering assignments
- Lead, direct and motivate front-of-house team members during event and service periods
- Review Event Orders, run sheets and function requirements to ensure accurate execution
- Conduct structured team briefings covering service flow, timing, dietary requirements and client expectations
- Oversee event setup, room presentation, service delivery,



pack-down and equipment return
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen, sales, logistics and operations teams
- Allocate staff and manage team movement to support efficient service delivery
- Monitor guest and client satisfaction and resolve service issues professionally
- Assist with the preparation, packing and checking of equipment, stock and event boxes
- Coordinate external catering logistics, including transport schedules, bump-in and bump-out requirements
- Conduct site visits, meet with clients and record clear logistical notes and photographs
- Monitor labour allocation and time management across events
- Assist with stock control, ordering, inventory management and equipment reconciliation
- Support roster preparation in line with event schedules and operational demand
- Provide supervisory support across Origin by Olio’s restaurant, lobby bar and other outlets when required
- Assist with staff onboarding, training, coaching and performance development
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, work health and safety, RSA and liquor licensing requirements
- Maintain clean, organised and compliant service, storage and equipment areas
- Contribute to operational meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

About You To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Event Supervisor,



Banquets Supervisor or in a similar hospitality leadership position
- Solid experience delivering events, functions, banquets or external catering
- The confidence to lead teams and remain composed during busy service periods
- Excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret Event Orders and run sheets
- A professional approach to guest, client and team interactions
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, WHS and responsible service requirements
- A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
- The physical capability to assist with event preparation, equipment movement, setup and pack-down
- Current WA RSA certification
- Approved Manager certification or willingness to obtain it
- A current driver’s licence, preferably with access to reliable transport

Availability to work a flexible full-time roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, is essential. What We Offer
