About the Role
As a Food Service Assistant with Talent Quarter, you'll support the daily food service operations within residential aged care facilities, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals and excellent service in a clean, welcoming environment.
Your responsibilities may include
- Preparing and serving meals, snacks and beverages
- Assisting residents during meal service
- Setting up and clearing dining areas
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and infection control
- Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
- Supporting kitchen staff with general food preparation
- Delivering friendly, respectful and person-centred customer service
What You'll Need To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Food Service Assistant, Kitchen Hand or Hospitality Assistant within aged care, healthcare or hospitality
- Minimum 6 months' experience preferred
- Food Safety Certificate (highly regarded)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Check
- Current influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination in line with client requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Currently residing in Australia
- A positive attitude, robust work ethic and a genuine passion for supporting older Australians
