Forklift Operator - Store Area (Paper Manufacturing Site)

7:00am – 3:00pm | Monday to Friday Long‑term ongoing role | Immediate start

Gilbert Labour Solutions is seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team at a renowned paper manufacturing and recycling facility in Smithfield.This position plays a key role in the Warehouse Store Area, supporting production, inventory flow, and general warehouse operations.

Who We Are

Gilbert Labour Solutions (GLS) is a contracting company that provides teams of skilled labourers, general cleaners and machine operators to major client sites across NSW. GLS started in regional Tumut NSW in 2022, where we continue to support clients across Cleaning, Paper Manufacturing & Pine Tree Forest Restoration. In early 2025, one of our major clients asked us to provide a team of skilled workers on their Smithfield Site. Since then, our team has grown in skill coverage, job opportunities & size, from 6 to 24 people.

About the Role

This is primarily a Forklift Operating role focused on moving machinery parts and equipment in and out of the Warehouse Store on a large‑scale Paper Manufacturing & Recycling site.

Your duties will include:

- Operating a forklift to move parts, equipment, and materials within the store and around site
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Assisting with inventory and stock movement
- General warehouse and housekeeping tasks
- Following all site safety procedures and traffic management rules
- Performing general labouring tasks when required

What We’re Looking For

- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Minimum 1–2 years forklift experience
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills




- Cross-skill coverage
- Physically fit and comfortable in a quick‑paced industrial setting
- Must hold valid Australian works rights
- Able to attend Pre-screening Drug & Alcohol testing
- Able to attend a Physical Examination
