Role Description

The Parts Interpreter is a full-time, on-site role based in our Moruya or Eden sites, responsible for accurately identifying and sourcing automotive parts for internal service departments and external customers.

Day-to-day tasks include interpreting parts requirements from vehicle details and workshop technicians, using catalogues and digital systems to locate correct parts, preparing quotations, processing orders, and managing parts inventory and stock levels.

The role involves responding to customer and workshop enquiries, coordinating deliveries and pick-ups, and maintaining clear records in dealership systems.



The Parts Interpreter also supports the parts team with stock checks, returns, and warranty claims, while upholding safety standards, quality service, and qualified communication at all times.

Qualifications

- Strong parts interpretation and automotive knowledge, with the ability to accurately identify components using catalogues, VINs, and digital systems.
- Experience with inventory control, stock management, and basic logistics to ensure timely parts availability and efficient workflow.
- Customer service skills, including clear communication, relationship building, and a professional, solution-focused approach to enquiries.
- Competence in computer-based dealership or systems, data entry, and use of online parts catalogues and ordering platforms.
- Attention to detail, numeracy skills for quoting and invoicing, and the ability to follow processes and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in an automotive parts, workshop, or dealership environment is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate with technicians and sales teams, and manage time in a busy on-site environment.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to safely handle and store automotive parts; relevant trade or parts qualifications are an advantage.
