RESIDENTIAL GARDENER – ON-THE-ROAD ROLE

Pay: $40 per hour

Travel: Paid travel between scheduled jobs

Vehicle and equipment: Company vehicle and professional gardening equipment provided

Location: Melbourne, Victoria

We are looking for an experienced and extremely reliable Residential Gardener to join our on-the-road gardening team.

This role involves travelling between residential properties and completing a wide range of garden maintenance work.

You will be provided with a company vehicle containing professional gardening tools and equipment.

Travel time between scheduled jobs is paid at the full hourly rate.

Proven qualified gardening experience is essential.

THE ROLE

You will travel between residential properties and complete general garden maintenance work.

Typical tasks may include lawn mowing, edging, whipper snipping, hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, leaf blowing, garden clean-ups, green-waste removal, mulching, basic planting and general property maintenance.

You must be comfortable assessing each garden, identifying what needs to be completed and working independently to a professional standard.

This is an on-the-road position involving multiple residential job sites.

PAY AND TRAVEL The position pays $40 per hour.

Travel time between scheduled jobs is paid at the full hourly rate.

Consistent work is available for the right person.

COMPANY VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT A company vehicle will be provided for travelling between jobs.

The vehicle will contain professional gardening tools and equipment required for the role.

You will be responsible for keeping the vehicle, tools and equipment clean, organised and in good working condition.

You must operate all gardening machinery safely and report any damage or mechanical issues immediately.





EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

You must have proven professional gardening experience.

You must be confident using lawn mowers, whipper snippers, hedge trimmers, blowers and common gardening tools.

You must have experience with lawn care, edging, pruning, hedge maintenance, weeding and residential garden clean-ups.

You must be able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.

You must be able to complete jobs independently without constant supervision.

You must understand how to avoid damaging plants, irrigation systems, fences, windows, vehicles and surrounding property.

RELIABILITY AND COMMUNICATION

Reliability is one of the most important requirements for this position.

You must arrive on time for every scheduled shift and job.

You must respond promptly to calls and text messages.

You must communicate immediately if there is any issue affecting a customer, job, vehicle or schedule.

You must follow the daily job schedule and reliably attend every confirmed property.

We need someone who can be trusted to complete their work properly without being repeatedly chased or reminded.

WORKMANSHIP STANDARDS

You must leave lawns evenly cut with clean and straight edges.

You must complete hedge trimming and pruning neatly and carefully.

You must remove clippings, leaves and green waste from the work area.

You must leave paths,



driveways and outdoor areas clean and presentable.

You must treat customers, properties, vehicles, tools and equipment professionally and respectfully.

You must take pride in producing consistently high-quality work.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS A current driver licence is required.

You must be a safe and responsible driver.

You must have the right to work in Australia.

You must be physically capable of completing residential gardening work.

You must present professionally and communicate clearly with residential customers.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate is an experienced residential gardener who takes pride in producing clean and professional results.

You should be practical, efficient and confident completing a broad range of garden maintenance work.

You should be comfortable travelling between different properties and completing multiple jobs throughout the day.

This role is suited to someone who wants strong hourly pay, paid travel time, consistent work and access to a company vehicle with professional equipment.
