GARDENING TEAM LEADER $35-40/hr | Full-time | Sydney

This is a hands-on, physical role. You'll be out on the tools every day, working alongside a labourer across residential and commercial gardens. This is not an office or desk based position.

About the Role

We're after an experienced, hands-on gardener ready to lead. You'll be out on site each day running the daily field operations for a small crew (working alongside a labourer/offsider), setting the standard for quality, and acting as the main point of contact for clients on site.

We meet as a team every Tuesday, and we're serious about growing the right people from within.

What You'll Do

- Work onsite each day alongside a labourer, doing the physical gardening work together
- Lead and support a small team of gardeners and offsiders
- Allocate daily tasks and check work meets our standard
- Carry out hands-on gardening work including pruning, planting, lawn care, mulching, and weeding
- Be the main point of contact for clients on site
- Keep vehicles, tools, and equipment ready to go
- Keep basic records of hours, materials, and site notes
- Run toolbox talks and keep the team working safely

Work Location This role is 100% onsite and outdoors, moving between residential and commercial garden sites across Sydney. You'll be on your feet doing physical work all day, not behind a desk.

What We're Looking For





- A solid background in gardening or horticulture
- Experience leading or supervising a small team
- Manual driver's licence (essential)
- Responsible, reliable, and someone who follows through
- A team player who leads by example and brings people along
- High standards for their own work and the team's output
- Transparent and friendly communication with clients, crew, and management

- Can take direction, follow instructions, and act on feedback
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in where the team is heading long term
