We are looking for a skilled General Hand to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of manual labour duties and operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently while supporting the daily operations of our yard. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise, learn recent skills, and collaborate with a dedicated team.
Job Details
- Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, weekend work as required
Your Qualifications
- Experience in scrap metal (Ferrous, Non Ferrous)
- Understanding of various heavy equipment's operational characteristics
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements for heavy equipment
- Proven track record in performing skilled construction and maintenance tasks
- Experience with manual handling
- Forklift license advantageous but not essential
- Ability to interpret and work from nests
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Mechanical aptitude
- Fitness for work (including clear Drug and Alcohol Screens)
- Right to work in Australia
- Ability to pass a Police Check
