General Manager – Operations

Join one of Regional NSW's Leading Clubs The Muswellbrook Workers Club is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. Following significant investment in our facilities, we're seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager – Operations to help lead our next chapter.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager – Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Club, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, exceptional customer experiences and strong commercial performance.

About the Role The General Manager – Operations is responsible for the effective leadership of all operational areas of the Club, including:

- Food & Beverage Operations
- Gaming Operations
- Member Services
- Events & Entertainment
- Facilities Presentation
- Work Health & Safety
- Customer Experience
- Operational Compliance
- Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) compliance and risk management
- Leadership and Development of Department Managers

Working closely with the CEO, you will implement strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, develop high-performing teams and ensure the Club consistently delivers exceptional service to members and guests. The role will provide leadership across all operational departments, fostering a culture of accountability,



continuous improvement and outstanding member service. You will work closely with department managers to develop future leaders, improve business performance and ensure the Club operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Significant senior management experience within a licensed club, hotel or large hospitality venue.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple operational departments.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and labour management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- A sound understanding of NSW liquor, gaming and hospitality legislation.
- Experience implementing operational improvements and leading organisational change.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act and associated obligations within the hospitality or registered clubs industry.
- Experience implementing compliance systems, managing regulatory risk and fostering a culture of governance and accountability.




- Current RSA and RCG qualifications (essential).
