Spartan Double Glazing is a national uPVC window and door manufacturer operating across Victoria, the ACT, South Australia and Tasmania. We design, manufacture and install premium double-glazed uPVC windows and doors in-house, end to end, from raw Aluplast profile through to a finished job signed off on site.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are appointing a General Manager for Victoria, with operational oversight of our ACT and South Australian branches. You will be based at our Abbotsford head office alongside our Melbourne manufacturing plant, and you will report directly to the Directors.

This is the number two seat in a fast-moving national business. You will own the P&L;, the plant, the people and the promise we make to every customer. If you have been running a branch and waiting for someone to hand you the whole thing, this is it.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- Full operational and financial accountability for Victoria, with oversight of the ACT and SA branches
- Direct leadership of the Installation Manager and Production Manager, and through them the factory, install, service and admin teams
- Manufacturing performance: throughput, quality gates, on-time dispatch, waste, and 5S discipline at every station on the floor
- Customer experience end to end, including escalations and service calls, and the standard that says a Spartan job is finished properly or it is not finished
- Recruitment, performance management, coaching and, where necessary, exits, handled to Fair Work standards and documented properly




- Margin protection: pricing discipline, job costing, labour and material variance, and the weekly numbers that tell you the truth
- KPI ownership across every team, with real accountability behind it, not a spreadsheet nobody opens
- Systems and procedures: writing them, embedding them, and making them stick across three states
- Rollout and adoption of our in-house software platform. You will be the person who makes new technology land on the floor.

THE TECHNOLOGY Most window manufacturers run on paper, whiteboards and off-the-shelf software that half fits. We built our own.

- SpartanCAD, our in-house 3D CAD and quoting engine that designs a window, costs it and drops it straight into the factory
- Spartan CRM, one platform covering Sales, Jobs, Factory, Accounts and Service
- A live manufacturing execution system across the production floor with station-level visibility from cut to dispatch
- Field and installer apps that push the daily run, checklists, photos and sign-offs from the office to the van
- A client portal that keeps customers informed without a single chase call

You will not be fighting your systems. You will be running the best operating stack in Australian fenestration, and you will help shape where it goes next.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Proven leadership in uPVC or aluminium windows and doors,



glazing, joinery or building products manufacturing. Direct uPVC experience puts you at the front of the queue.
- A track record running a plant or a branch: production, installation, service and the numbers behind all three
- Genuine customer service instinct. You can turn a furious customer into a referral, and you can teach your team to do the same.
- Robust grounding in Lean, 5S and continuous improvement, and the discipline to hold the standard when it gets busy
- Comfort with technology and systems. You do not need to be a developer. You do need to be the one who champions the software rather than quietly going back to paper.
- Confidence with recruitment, performance conversations and Fair Work compliance
- Willingness to travel interstate periodically to the ACT and SA branches
- Full Australian working rights and a current driver licence
