The Opportunity

AUS Employment Services is seeking experienced Grader Operators for an ongoing prospect with one of our established mining clients.

Working an 8:6 days and 7:7 nights roster, you will be operating various CAT model graders across mining production and site maintenance activities. This position requires operators who have experience maintaining haul roads, ramps and work areas to a high standard while working safely within an active mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CAT 16M, 18M and 24M graders safely and efficiently
- Maintain haul roads, pit floors, ramps, windrows and drainage areas
- Complete final trim and general road maintenance activities
- Identify changing ground conditions and adjust operating techniques accordingly
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment faults promptly
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel
- Follow site procedures, traffic management requirements and operational plans
- Work independently while contributing positively to the wider project team




- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, equipment care and operational quality

About You To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience operating CAT graders
- Previous grader operating experience in a mining environment
- Experience maintaining haul roads, ramps and active mining areas
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Relevant machinery tickets or verified competency documentation
- The ability to complete accurate pre-starts and identify equipment faults
- Strong situational awareness and effective radio communication skills
- The ability to work safely with minimal supervision
- A high regard for workplace health, safety and quality
