Security & GRC Specialist – Contract | Canberra | NV2+ Cleared Opes is looking for an experienced Security & GRC Specialist to support the delivery of a complex project in Canberra. We are seeking a skilled with demonstrated expertise, a strong delivery mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in secure, high-assurance environments.

About the role
As a Security & GRC SME on this project you will play an integral role in ensuring a compliant design, build and accreditation of multiple secure systems.
Your key responsibilities will include the development of accreditation artefacts to achieve ATO on multiple secure environments and the management of evidence development and collection to prepare systems for ATO submission.
What you’ll be doing
This role will require active participation in stakeholder engagement including client and security authorities. As a core function of this role, you will critically evaluate system designs for compliance across the ISM, PSPF and DSPF and engage with project staff and the client to identify viable remediation solutions where necessary.
What we’re looking for
- In-depth knowledge of, and experience working with, Defence security practices and policies.
- Demonstrable competence in the identification, assessment and documentation of security risks
- Demonstrable experience working within secure environments and with secure ICT systems.
- Ability to produce professional security documentation including but not limited to SSP, SSP-A, SAP, SRMP and CMP.
- Excellent communication & collaborative skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical evaluation skills.
- Certified IRAP Assessor or CISA/CISSP/CISM desirable.
