Our client is an Australian-owned property development and investment group specialising in industrial and logistics assets. Backed by institutional capital, the business is entering a period of accelerated growth with a substantial development pipeline underway.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, this role provides support across all internal and external reporting requirements, accounting processes and finance operations for the business and its related entities, along with ad-hoc commercial analysis and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of all internal and external reporting requirements
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting and quarterly board reporting for all entities
- Manage Group income tax obligations, including BAS, IAS, FBT and other ATO statements
- Maintain fixed asset registers and undertake asset audits
- Maintain daily cashflow reporting and forecasts
- Support the audit process, including preparing and reviewing documentation and liaising with external auditors and advisors
- Maintain appropriate accounting policies and control systems
The Successful Candidate
- CA/CPA qualified
- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of IFRS, AIFRS and complex legal entity and trust structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to identify efficiencies and automation opportunities
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously, and to meet strict deadlines
