Vulcan Hotel is a 46-room heritage-listed boutique hotel in Ultimo, and we're looking for a friendly, guest-focused Guest Service Agent to join our team, available to start straight away.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across both reception and our café, giving you well-rounded exposure to hotel operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys guest interaction and wants to build a broad skill set in hospitality.

This is a casual position paid at hospitality award rates, with 4–5 days a week on a rotating roster (weekends included), and potential for additional hours as we move into a busier period.

What you'll bring

Experience in a hotel or guest-facing role, along with comfort using cloud-based systems (we use MEWS), Eftpos, and basic cashiering.



You're detail-oriented, well-presented, and have strong communication skills with a genuine focus on customer service. Positive English and a current RSA are essential; barista or coffee skills are an advantage but not required.

What you'll be doing

- Checking guests in and out, and maintaining guest accounts
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Taking and entering reservations
- Assisting with café and general guest service, including breakfast service
