Hillside Earthworks is a family-owned civil and earthworks business working across residential, commercial and civil projects including house pads, drainage, carparks, retaining walls and site works.
We're looking for a reliable and experienced HC/MC Truck & Dog Operator to join our team, supporting our site operations and clientele through material carting and general site support.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HC/MC truck driving is required for this position.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Operating tipper trucks and/or truck & dog
- Carting materials such as sand, gravel, spoil, rubble and road base
- Delivering and removing materials to and from sites and suppliers
- Working in and around active construction and earthworks sites
- Assisting on-site when not driving (as required)
- Completing daily pre-start checks and basic truck maintenance
- Keeping vehicles clean, safe and well presented
- Following all safety procedures, site rules and traffic management requirements
What We're Looking For
- Either HC or MC licence class is required for this position
- White Card (Construction Induction) – required
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Comfortable working around machinery and construction sites
- Good attitude and ability to work in a team
- Physically capable of helping on-site when required
- Experience in civil/construction carting – preferred
- Experience with truck & dog combinations
- Experience working on civil or earthworks sites
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Minimum 1+ years experience operating loader/excavator/skid steer equipment is required
- Valid tickets/licences for loader/excavator/skid steer operation must be held
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
