Café 63 Grafton is a fast-paced café committed to delivering exceptional food and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team in daily operations.
- Plan, develop, and update menus in line with business requirements.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals while maintaining presentation standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency.
- Manage food ordering, stock control, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations.
- Train, mentor, and roster kitchen staff to maintain operational efficiency.
- Minimise food waste and control kitchen costs.
- Work closely with management to improve kitchen performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience as a Chef or Head Chef is required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
