About the Role Health & Safety Consultant – site‑based residential role at Huntly Mine Site (WA Mining).

Responsibilities - Develop risk mitigation plans for high‑risk activities such as confined space entry, hazardous chemicals, electrical, trenching and excavation.

- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policy and legislation.
- Investigate incidents using the ICAM process and establish corrective actions focused on engineering and higher‑level controls.
- Create and deliver engaging training programs to drive positive improvements.
- Lead teams on safety projects and initiatives, contributing to Alcoa’s safety culture.
- Advise and support health and safety committees and representatives in Mobile Maintenance.

Qualifications - Tertiary qualification (desirable) or Diploma in Health and Safety or related subject area.

- Strong health & safety experience, preferably in a maintenance environment.
- Knowledge and application of legislative standards to ensure compliance with H&S; requirements.




- Robust communication skills; confident engaging with all levels, leading by example, taking initiative.
- Contractor experience is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite and various incident management systems.
