Conplant Pty Ltd is the largest privately owned specialist compaction equipment company in Australia. Our core business includes the hire and sale of compaction and construction equipment with associated servicing and the supply of parts and transport services.

We are currently seeking an organised and methodical Hire Controller to join our Brisbane Branch, based at Yatala. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will co-ordinate the timely provision of hire equipment to customer sites in what is our largest and busiest branch nationally.

Your duties will include

- Responding to customer requests regarding the hire of equipment, completing all appropriate processes and documentation to facilitate safe and efficient hire activities.
- Organise the despatch, transportation and return of hire equipment via internal drivers and/or external logistics specialists.
- Maintain and develop relationships with appropriate local logistics providers to support the delivery of responsive, quality, cost effective transport services that continue to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Act as a central point of contact at Reception or by telephone to ensure that Conplant's customers and suppliers receive professional, prompt, and consistent initial responses to ensure we are offering a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Respond to breakdown calls obtaining all appropriate customer information,



initiating action with the Workshop Manager as required.
- Undertake a range of other planned and ad hoc administrative tasks as directed to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day operational activities.

You will bring:

- A minimum of 2 years' administrative experience is required, with preference given to candidates with construction industry background.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service.
- An organised, methodical approach with the ability to follow well established procedures is essential.
- Attention to detail.
- A flexible 'can-do' attitude with a willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic awareness of workplace health and safety principles and legislation is required.
- Ability to utilise a bespoke company IT system.
