We are seeking motivated and detail-focused individuals to join our Histology team in afternoon and night shift roles, full time and part time options available. These positions play an important role in supporting the preparation of tissue samples for diagnostic assessment, working collaboratively across specimen reception, main laboratory, and immunohistochemistry areas. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy structured laboratory work and contributing to high-quality patient outcomes in a supportive team workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Specimen Reception Area (SRA):

- Receiving and processing specimens in line with laboratory procedures
- Accurate data entry into the Histology accessioning system
- Providing general assistance to dissection staff as required

Main Laboratory:

- Embedding and microtomy of tissue samples
- Assisting with general laboratory duties, including support at the allocation bench
- Changing and maintaining laboratory stainers

Immunohistochemistry:

- Preparing and refilling tissue staining machines with reagents
- Unpacking and managing consumables and supplies

What we are looking for ​ The ideal candidates will demonstrate:

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency

These positions is within our afternoon and night teams, requires availability for start times between 11:00am to 3:00pm.
- Full-time roles: Monday to Friday, with participation in a rotating weekend roster once trained
- Part-time roles:



Minimum commitment of three full shifts (8 hours each) per week

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: Experience in a histopathology laboratory is advantageous; however, candidates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
