Our Hotel Receptionist role is a crucial part of the guest experience at Deco Hotel, located in Braddon, ACT. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient service from arrival to departure. This full-time position is an excellent prospect to develop your customer service skills and be part of a dynamic hospitality team.
This role requires availability to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting guests with a friendly and professional manner upon arrival and departure
- Efficiently checking guests in and out, processing payments and handling inquiries
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any guest concerns
- Assisting with making reservations, answering phone calls, and responding to email inquiries
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Working collaboratively with the hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or front office role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or front office experience is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a warm and friendly service
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in using hotel management software and technology
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a quick-paced environment
- A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to the success of the hotel
- Valid Australian work rights are required for this position
