Reporting to the Water & Sewerage Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance, repairs, and construction activities relating to Council's water and sewerage infrastructure across Flinders Shire. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliable operation of essential services and contributes directly to Council's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintaining and repairing water and sewerage infrastructure.
- Installing and testing plumbing systems and backflow devices.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns and service issues.
- Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assisting with inspections, sampling and compliance activities.
- Supporting apprentices and working alongside contractors.
- Providing professional customer service to residents and stakeholders.





What We're Looking For:

- Trade qualification in Plumbing and Drainage
- Current MR Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction White Card
- Confined Spaces Ticket
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and participate in an on call roster
