About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their growing engineering team and help develop the next generation of robotic technology. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, start up environment where your ideas will directly influence the design and development of innovative products.
The successful candidate will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle from concept and design through prototyping, testing, and production and will also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers as the team continues to grow.
The Role As an Electronics Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and support electronic systems with a strong focus on power electronics. This is a hands on role that combines technical design, laboratory testing, product validation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge robotic systems, solve challenging engineering problems, and contribute to products that make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware with an emphasis on power electronics.
- Design and review PCB schematics and layouts.
- Develop, assemble, and debug electronic prototypes.
- Perform hardware testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Support design verification, manufacturing, and production testing.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and product quality.
- Prepare technical documentation, test procedures, and design reports.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in product development from concept through to production.
About You
You are a practical, solutions focused engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working in a cooperative environment. You thrive in a dynamic workplace where innovation,

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years' industry experience in electronics engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in power electronics design and development.
- Experience with PCB design, assembly, bring-up, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with electronic testing and validation.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and logic analysers.
- Strong fault-finding and debugging skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing and design-for-production principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Please note that this position is not able to offer visa sponsorship, so applicants must already have the right to work in Australia without employer sponsorship.
- Experience developing electronics for robotics, automation, or mechatronic systems.
- Knowledge of motor control systems, battery management systems, or embedded electronics.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI considerations and product compliance testing.
- Experience using PCB CAD software such as Altium Designer or similar.
- Exposure to embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware.
