Sharp & Carter is partnering with a well-established, values-driven not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant for an initial 9-12 month role.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, you will work closely with a cooperative finance team to provide both transactional and month-end accounting support. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting with month-end journals, reconciliations and reporting
- End-to-end accounts payable processing
- Coding invoices across multiple cost centres and projects
- Vendor maintenance and payment processing
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Monitoring cash flow and assisting with funding allocations




- Supporting invoicing and finance administration across multiple projects
- Providing accounting support to the Financial Manager
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements and ad hoc finance initiatives.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in an Assistant Accountant position and enjoy working across both transactional and financial accounting responsibilities. You will have strong accounts payable and reconciliation experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
