FIFO ex Perth | Full-time | Immediate Start

Total Connections is a well-established Western Australian business specialising in the mobile servicing and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hoses, fittings and components.

With our head office in Perth and regional branches in Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie, we support mining, construction, transport and industrial clients across Western Australia.

We are continuing to grow and are looking for a capable and reliable Service Technician to join our Pilbara team on a FIFO basis from Perth to Port Hedland.

? About the Role

This is a hands-on, field-based position supporting customers throughout Port Hedland and the surrounding Pilbara region. Operating on a FIFO roster from Perth, you will work across customer sites, mobile plant and equipment, and our Port Hedland workshop depending on operational requirements.

Your work will include

- Onsite breakdown response, planned maintenance and equipment installations
- Assembly and crimping of hydraulic hose assemblies
- Removal and replacement of hydraulic and industrial hoses on plant and equipment
- Hydraulic fault finding, diagnosis and minor servicing
- Fire suppression system servicing and maintenance
- Hydraulic cylinder removal, inspection, rebuilding and testing
- Vehicle Loading Crane (VLC) inspection, maintenance and overhaul support
- Completing accurate job reports and documentation through mobile systems
- Managing parts, tooling and stock carried in your service vehicle
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professionally presented service vehicle and work area
- Building strong relationships with customers and representing Total Connections professionally on site

The role offers plenty of variety, including breakdowns, planned maintenance, workshop repairs and project work across mining, transport and industrial operations. You will need to be comfortable working away from home on a FIFO roster and operating independently throughout your swing.

If you have strong mechanical ability and the right attitude but do not have experience in every area, we are prepared to provide training and development.

Required:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability
- Clear communication and a customer-focused approach
- MR driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently in field-based environments
- Ability to follow site procedures and safe work practices
- Willingness and ability to work a FIFO roster from Perth
- Willingness to participate in after-hours and on-call breakdown coverage while on roster
- Ability to pass site medical, drug and alcohol screening requirements
- Reliable attendance and a professional attitude

Desirable:

- Hydraulic systems or fluid power experience
- Hydraulic hose and fittings experience
- Mobile hose service or field service experience
- Mining,



heavy equipment or mobile plant experience
- Previous FIFO or remote-area work experience
- Fire suppression servicing experience or relevant tickets
- Hydraulic cylinder rebuilding experience
- Vehicle Loading Crane inspection, repair or overhaul exposure
- Forklift licence
- Construction white card
- Working at Heights, Confined Space or EWP qualifications
- HR driver’s licence

? Location

This position operates on a FIFO basis from Perth to our Port Hedland branch. While on roster, you will service customers throughout Port Hedland and the surrounding Pilbara region. The position involves a combination of workshop work, customer-site servicing, planned maintenance and breakdown response.

Applicants must be based in Perth or able to reliably travel from Perth for each rostered swing.
