We're partnering with a leading Western Australian organisation who are embarking on a major Digital Identity transformation and are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to play a key role in shaping the future state architecture.
This isn't a traditional solution architecture role.
You'll act as the independent Enterprise Architecture voice, providing technical leadership across Identity & Access Management, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and broader security architecture while working alongside a global consulting partner delivering the Discovery & Design phase.

About the Opportunity
You'll join the Enterprise Architecture function during the Discovery & Design phase of a large-scale identity transformation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, engineers and external consultants, you'll ensure proposed solutions are technically robust, aligned to enterprise standards and fit for long-term delivery.
This is a strategic architecture position where you'll influence architectural direction rather than own solution delivery.
As part of the broader EA team, you'll also contribute across other enterprise initiatives where capacity allows.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide enterprise architecture leadership across Identity and Security domains.
- Review, validate and challenge target-state architecture produced by external consultants.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, governance and strategic direction.
- Work closely with Identity, Integration and Security Engineering teams to validate current and future state designs.
- Lead architecture decision making and produce Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Act as the technical bridge between internal stakeholders, delivery teams and external consulting partners.
- Help shape the roadmap for a major Digital Identity transformation.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who combines genuine Enterprise Architecture experience with deep technical knowledge across Identity.
Essential Experience
- Extensive Enterprise Architecture experience within complex organisations.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra ID, including:
- Identity Provider (IdP)
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Conditional Access
- Entra ID Governance
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and provisioning.
- Experience with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms such as SailPoint or Saviynt.
- Ability to challenge architectural decisions, influence stakeholders and provide enterprise-wide architectural governance.
Highly Regarded
- Privileged Access Management (CyberArk, Delinea or similar).
- Security Architecture experience across modern identity controls.
- Knowledge of Essential Eight Maturity Level 2.
- Experience within Higher Education.
- Exposure to Ping Advanced Identity Cloud (ForgeRock).
