Public Relations Intern (Unpaid)

Christian Dior Australia & New Zealand is offering an unpaid internship for a motivated and detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to join our Communications team. This is a learning chance designed to support studies in Marketing and Communications, or a related field, at an Australian or New Zealand university. As a PR Intern, you will gain practical experience and insights into luxury brand communications and media relations. This role focuses on the social, digital, and print media functions within the Communications department.

Job responsibilities

- Sample Inventory Support
- Assist with the sample inventory process.
- Support the preparation of product movement and documentation.
- Help maintain showroom presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of sample stocktakes.
- Support the maintenance of samples (e.g., steaming, repairs, dry cleaning).

- Press Coverage Support

- Support the consolidation of press coverage for reporting.
- Assist in the extraction of data for crediting requests.
- Help with filing print magazines and clippings.

- Social Media Support

- Assist in the analysis of the Australian talent market.
- Support in the preparation of request forms for dressing requests.

- General Communications Support

- Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
- Gain exposure to various aspects of a fully functioning local communications team.
- Participate in the logistical support of PR initiatives, by liaising with retail,



logistics and merchandising teams to coordinate product requests.

Profile

Qualifications and Experience

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Marketing and Communications, or a related field at an Australian or New Zealand university/college.
- Strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of PR principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Location: Head Office (Sydney CBD)
