About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Parks and Gardens to serve as a Playgrounds and Public Open Space Officer. The role contributes to the maintenance and development of the Shire’s public open space and playground infrastructure as a member of the Parks and Reserve Team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General inspections, monitoring, maintenance and construction of public open space and playground infrastructure.
- Maintain public open space and playground facilities in a clean and tidy condition by removing litter, cleaning amenities, servicing and general infrastructure maintenance.
- Installation of general public open space and playground infrastructure and implementation of maintenance programs.
This is a permanent full‑time position, 85 hours per fortnight.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position you must have:
- Experience in undertaking public open space and playground infrastructure inspections, maintenance programs, projects and works.
- An understanding of construction and plant maintenance techniques relating to public open space and playground infrastructure.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
Benefits
Salary : $83,245.60 (including overtime) per annum
Permanent staff are entitled to:
- 5 weeks annual leave per year
- The option of one rostered day off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week
