We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in accounting and gaining exposure to sophisticated investment and development structures.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day financial management of the business and its associated entities. The role offers broad exposure across the development lifecycle, from project accounting through to investor reporting and financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-end bookkeeping across multiple entities using Xero.
- Processing and managing accounts payable and supplier reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate general ledger accounts and completing bank reconciliations.
- Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Preparing investor reports and supporting financial information.
- Preparing drawdown reports and working with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors (QS) to coordinate progress claims, cost reporting and funding drawdowns.
- Assisting with project cost reporting, feasibility tracking,



cash flow monitoring and development accounting.
- Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and workpapers for external tax accountants.
- Maintaining accounting records across trusts, partnerships and company structures.
- Supporting the finance team with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies within Xero.
- Handling all financial information with the highest level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2–3 years' experience in an accounting role.
- Demonstrated experience using Xero with confidence across day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
- Experience in property development, construction or real estate will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to construction finance, project accounting, lender reporting or drawdown processes will be viewed favourably.
- A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage to reporting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
- A professional, trustworthy and discreet approach to handling confidential financial information.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
