IT Continuity & Availability Analyst Clerk Grade: 7/8 $116,981 - $129,492 plus super

Temporary, Full-Time (up to 10 months) opportunity

Location Parramatta – hybrid working available with 2 days per week required in office About us The Government Shared Services (GSS) Division within the Department of Customer Service delivers critical corporate and technology services that support NSW Government agencies and enable better outcomes for the people of NSW.

About the role Reporting to the Senior Continuity & Availability Lead, the primary purpose of this role is to provide governance and support to GSS ICT on the planning of service continuity and availability of Core IT Services. The IT Service Continuity & Availability analyst will work with Service Providers, Internal Teams and customers to develop and implement Continuity Plans and Reporting, in order to enhance the overall resiliency and availability of our services.

Key Responsibilities: *Coordinates periodic Business Impact Assessments (BIA) across the Department - analysingand assessing critical services whilstensuring adherence to the DCS BCM Framework & Industry Standards

*Updates Local Business Continuity Plans and coordinates BCP Training Workshops and test exercises to improve efficiency, effectiveness and resiliency of GSS ICT’s services.

*Governs the Disaster Recovery Planning process. Ensures coordination with Technical Teams and Service Owners during the preparation of test exercises, ensuring all plans and relevant documentation have been reviewed and updated accordingly

*Analyses service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability to enhance business operations and performance

*Provides monthly reporting to Senior Leadershipregarding Availability & Service Continuity Performance





*Responds to and provides expert advice to business partners and internal teams on the Service Continuity & Availability Management Processes. Coordinates with multiple teams to optimize Service Delivery Outcomes. *Identifies risks affecting service continuity and availabilityand develops and implements mitigation strategies that minimise operational disruption.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: *Proven experience working within an ICT Governance Role

*Experience developing Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plans and facilitating training workshops

*Involvement in Disaster Recovery Planning & Testing Exercises

*Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working within ITIL frameworks *Solid stakeholder management skills, including handling difficult conversations and navigating complex environments

*Proficiency in ServiceNow is highly desirable
