ALCO Joinery specialises in creating high quality bespoke joinery for commercial and residential projects. We have worked with some of Sydney’s leading architects & designers to deliver quality cabinet making & detailed joinery.
About the role
We are looking for a person with experience in the joinery/building trade to join our small team. Interested in applicants from 3rd year apprentices through to tradesmen in their latter years. The role will be mainly in our Thornleigh workshop, but helping out on site with interior construction may be called for from time to time. There is a possibility for the successful applicant to learn project management of retail fit outs if they are interested.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understanding workshop drawings
- Operate and maintain Altendorf panel saw
- Familiar with soft close door and draw systems
- Able to grasp new concepts in joinery ie. not square boxes
- Building and shopfitting experience would be a plus but not essential
- Valuable initiative and problem solving skills
- Current white card
- Current NSW license
- Full Australian working rights
- Flexible for possible overtime and Saturday work
