The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised purchasing officer to join a well-established manufacturing and distribution business.

This is a hands-on role focused on managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships and inventory replenishment to ensure products are available when needed and operations run smoothly.

You'll take ownership of the purchasing process from raising purchase orders through to supplier follow-up, delivery coordination and inventory management. Working closely with suppliers, warehouse operations and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in maintaining supply continuity and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Raise, manage and track purchase orders with local and international suppliers
- Follow up suppliers to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full
- Coordinate inbound deliveries and monitor shipment schedules
- Build and maintain solid supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and supply terms with suppliers
- Source and evaluate new suppliers, products and purchasing opportunities
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to meet business requirements
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to manage stock availability
- Resolve supply, delivery and inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and inventory records
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs and increase efficiency

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain coordination




- Proven experience raising and managing purchase orders
- Experience dealing directly with suppliers and coordinating deliveries
- Strong supplier relationship management and communication skills
- Exposure to supplier negotiations, pricing discussions and lead time management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience working within manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or similar environments highly regarded

About You You are a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys keeping things moving and solving problems before they become issues.

You have experience working directly with suppliers, managing purchasing activities and ensuring products arrive on time and within budget. You're confident following up orders, coordinating deliveries and building strong supplier relationships while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively and enjoys being a key part of a busy operational team.

On Offer - $70K - $75K Base + Super + Profit Share eligibility after successful probation.
