About the role

Nutrilab Pty Ltd, a leading agricultural research and testing laboratory located in Goondiwindi, QLD, is seeking two talented Laboratory Technicians or Science Graduates to join their dynamic team. This full time position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your scientific knowledge and skills in a dynamic and quick-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

- Perform a range of laboratory tests and analyses on agricultural samples such as soil, water, and plant materials
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis, including grinding, drying, and sieving
- Record and document test results in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the integrity of laboratory data
- Provide support to the laboratory team, including assisting with data entry, report writing, and client communication
- Stay up-to-date with new testing methodologies, equipment, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, such as chemistry, biology, or environmental science
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with accuracy
- Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including analytical balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and ICP
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the wider laboratory team
- A keen interest in the agricultural industry and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
