Supported Learning and Development Role Purpose: Our Ipswich office is looking for a passionate Family/Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice to join our busy team. You

You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.

Must be the holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work.





You should demonstrate a high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family and Civil Law proceedings (including casework relating to Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications; plus, casework relating to Civil Litigation generally, such as Anti-discrimination matters, Estates, and Consumer Protection type matters.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years of full-time experience, resilience in handling complex cases, including Domestic Violence and Child Protection work, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will engage directly with clients daily, honing your advocacy skills within a busy team. You will have the autonomy to manage your own workflows without the pressure of billable hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
