About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Leading Hand / Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day delivery of our projects on site. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident managing installations, coordinating technicians and apprentices, and taking ownership of site progress and workmanship.

You’ll work closely with our Project Managers while acting as Kayder’s key representative on site. The role would suit an experienced technician who enjoys being on the tools but is ready to take greater responsibility for leading teams and delivering projects successfully.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Supervising the day-to-day delivery of smart home, AV, lighting control and security projects
- Leading technicians, apprentices and subcontractors on site
- Planning daily work and allocating tasks to keep projects moving efficiently
- Installing, testing and assisting with the commissioning of integrated systems
- Coordinating with Project Managers, builders, clients and other trades
- Reading and interpreting plans, schematics, specifications and system designs
- Monitoring site progress and providing clear updates to the Project Manager
- Identifying issues early and helping resolve technical or site-related problems
- Checking that materials, equipment and site requirements are organised ahead of scheduled works




- Ensuring installations meet Kayder’s standards for workmanship, safety and presentation
- Completing quality checks, defect rectification and project handovers
- Mentoring technicians and apprentices and supporting their development

What You’ll Bring

- At least four years’ experience in electrical, AV, automation or integrated systems
- Previous experience leading teams or taking responsibility for projects on site
- NSW Electrical Licence or relevant AV and communications experience
- Robust installation, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A solid understanding of structured cabling, networking, audiovisual systems and lighting control
- Experience with Control4, KNX, Crestron or similar systems is highly regarded
- Confidence reading plans, coordinating works and communicating with other trades
- The ability to organise a team, manage priorities and keep projects on schedule
- High standards of workmanship, presentation and site safety
- White Card and current driver’s licence
- A genuine interest in smart home and AV technology
