Why this role exists An AI company is only as trustworthy as its governance. You will make Aooma's legal and compliance operations clear and dependable — turning contracts, policies, and obligations into systems people can actually follow.

The work

What you'll work on

- Contract lifecycle: intake, review coordination, tracking, and renewals.
- Clear, usable processes for compliance, data protection, and governance.
- Templates, playbooks, and documentation that make the right thing the easy thing.
- Coordination between the team and external counsel where needed.

Proof What strong signal looks like
- Processes, playbooks, or systems you have set up and kept running.
- Examples of clear writing that turned something complex into something usable.
- Evidence you are organised, trustworthy with sensitive information, and detail-obsessed.

Day to day

Responsibilities

- Manage the contract lifecycle and keep obligations tracked and visible.
- Design and maintain legal, compliance, and data-protection workflows.
- Write and maintain templates, policies, and internal documentation.
- Coordinate with external counsel and keep records accurate and auditable.

What we need

Requirements

- Experience in legal operations, paralegal, contracts, or compliance work.
- Excellent written communication and a gift for making processes clear.
- Strong organisation and sound judgement with confidential information.




- Comfort building and improving processes, not just following them.

Bonus Practical, but not required
- Exposure to technology, privacy, or data-protection regimes.
- Familiarity with contract or governance tooling.
- Interest in how AI changes legal and compliance work.
