About Our Client Our client is Australia's largest coal miner and exporter, the world's largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.

What You Will Be Doing

As our Reliability Engineer, you’ll ensure our maintenance systems perform to world‑class standards. You will drive reliability across critical underground equipment to sustain asset performance, reduce downtime, and support cost‑effective operations.

- Working closely with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Leading reliability improvement initiatives across the engineering & maintenance teams.
- Analysing asset performance and delivering long‑term improvement strategies.
- Reviewing and refining maintenance strategies, with recommendations tailored to underground operations.




- Coaching and supporting maintenance personnel to embed best‑practice processes.
- Improving equipment availability through Asset Management, Condition Monitoring, Defect Elimination, Root Cause Analysis, and Machine Health Programs.
- Actively contributing to ongoing continuous improvement and optimisation projects.

What You Will Need

- Tertiary degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated reliability or mechanical engineering experience within the Underground mining industry with a focus on Mobile fleet equipment & preventative maintenance

- UG SOA S11

- UG CBM
- Mechanical/Electrical background (trade certified)
- Underground Coal Experience required – Longwall experience preferred
