The Role As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and site services.
Your responsibilities will include
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on industrial electrical systems and machinery
- Troubleshooting motors, drives,
PLCs, sensors and control systems
- Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Conducting inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent trade qualification
- Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, packaging or manufacturing environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery, motors, drives and industrial control systems
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
