Chelsea 3196 location – Monday to Friday role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who will lead a team of maintenance staff at Bega in Chelsea.

The Role

Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne’s south-east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year!

We are looking for an experienced maintenance tradesperson who is looking to take on a new challenge and leadership responsibilities as our new Maintenance Supervisor! Previous experience in a leadership role highly regarded, but if you are an experienced technical A Grade electrician and are keen to learn and grow, we welcome your application. This supervisor will be responsible for maintenance plans, supervision, and the coaching of trades and external contractors’ safety practices, quality standards, training, and support in the implementation of the new equipment or changes as required.

This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday during normal site operating hours with occasional on call duties outside of these hours.

Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance function to maximise plant uptime, asset availability, operational continuity and secure production outcomes across the manufacturing site

Provide hands-on technical leadership,



operational decision making and rapid response support during equipment downtime, plant disruptions and business critical incidents

Coordinate troubleshooting, prioritisation and recovery activities to minimise downtime and maintain safe and efficient operations

Provide hands on technical guidance problem solving on PLC’s, HMI’s and SCADA systems.

Assist with trades activities where appropriate

About you

Previous experience as an A Grade Electrician with supervisory experience within a maintenance team or similar

Knowledge of Siemens / Allen Bradley PLC’s, VSD’s and servo systems

Demonstrated experience with influencing change without direct leadership

Solid leadership and interpersonal skills

Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS software (preferably MEX)
