Our people are the key to our success. With more than 1,000 employees nationally, we proudly service retail, foodservice, and QSR markets across the country.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong reliability improvement mindset who is passionate about driving continuous improvement, developing people and creating a proactive maintenance culture.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day maintenance function, improving equipment reliability and availability, and ensuring maintenance activities support protected, efficient and reliable production.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance tradespeople and contractors.
- Foster a reliability-centred maintenance approach, shifting the focus from reactive to planned and preventative maintenance.
- Improve plant reliability and reduce unplanned downtime through preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Lead root cause investigations into equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise production disruption.
- Manage maintenance work orders, planning and reporting through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment performance, reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with food safety, quality, environmental and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Monitor and report on key maintenance performance indicators, including OEE, downtime, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and planned maintenance compliance.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to improve asset performance and operational efficiency.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades and commissioning activities as required.

About You You are an engaging and practical leader who enjoys solving problems at their source rather than repeatedly responding to breakdowns. You are passionate about improving reliability, developing your team and creating lasting operational improvements.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline.
- Previous experience supervising maintenance teams within food, beverage, dairy, FMCG or another manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance principles.
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience leading root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent leadership,

communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), HACCP and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

Desirable

- Qualifications or experience in Reliability Engineering or Asset Management.
- Experience implementing TPM, Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography or oil analysis.
- Exposure to automation systems, PLCs and modern manufacturing technologies.

What Success Looks Like In this role you will:

- Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Increase planned maintenance compliance and schedule adherence.
- Build a proactive maintenance culture focused on prevention rather than reaction.
- Develop a capable, engaged and accountable maintenance team.
- Deliver measurable improvements in asset performance, maintenance efficiency and production reliability.

Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to join a progressive food manufacturing business that values innovation, continuous improvement and teamwork. You'll play a key role in shaping the maintenance function, improving plant reliability and helping the business achieve operational excellence.

We offer a supportive team environment, opportunities for professional development and the chance to make a genuine impact on the performance of our manufacturing operations.

If you're an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a passion for reliability improvement and developing high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now by submitting your résumé and a cover letter outlining your maintenance leadership experience and examples of reliability improvements you have successfully implemented.
