Thermaguard

Mount Gambier

We look forward to having you on board!

Thermaguard is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who can take ownership of our marketing function and help build an Australian manufacturing business into a recognised global leader. This is not a traditional marketing role.

You will not be joining a large marketing department where your responsibility is limited to scheduling social posts, sending occasional email campaigns or briefing other people to complete the work.

We are looking for someone who can identify an opportunity, develop the strategy, create the content, launch the campaign, measure the results and continually improve it.

Someone who can take an idea all the way from concept to market.

About Thermaguard

Thermaguard designs and manufactures fire crew protection systems and bushfire safety products used by firefighting organisations, government agencies, industry and people working or living in high bushfire-risk environments. Our products help protect firefighters, emergency personnel and communities during some of the most dangerous conditions imaginable.

We are an established Australian manufacturer with significant opportunities for growth across Australia and internationally.

This role is an opportunity to help take genuinely life-protecting products to a much larger global audience.

The Opportunity

You will have ownership of Thermaguard’s marketing activity across brand, digital, content, lead generation and campaign performance. We will provide access to the team, technical knowledge, industry terminology, customer insights and product expertise. Your responsibility will be to turn that knowledge into professional, compelling and measurable marketing.

You must be comfortable working independently, using initiative and making things happen without waiting for detailed instructions.

At the same time, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that is available to contribute ideas, review technical content and help whenever required.

The right person will have the freedom to test new approaches, challenge existing thinking and build a marketing function that produces tangible commercial results.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Your work may include:

- Developing and executing Thermaguard’s overall marketing strategy
- Generating qualified sales leads across Australia and international markets
- Increasing brand awareness within firefighting, government, industrial and bushfire-related sectors
- Creating and managing Google Ads campaigns
- Improving website performance, SEO rankings and organic traffic
- Managing Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms
- Developing targeted email marketing and customer nurturing campaigns
- Creating sales collateral,

brochures, advertisements and presentations
- Producing high-quality graphics, infographics and product imagery
- Planning and creating professional photography and video content
- Developing case studies, product stories and educational content
- Supporting product launches and international market expansion
- Measuring campaign performance and clearly reporting what is working
- Continually testing, refining and improving marketing activity
- Identifying new channels, technologies and opportunities to grow the business

Experience producing podcasts, interviews or long-form video content would also be highly regarded.

Results Matter

We are a results-focused business. This role will not be measured by how many hours you spend at a desk or how many individual marketing tasks you complete.

It will be measured through agreed, tangible outcomes such as:

- Qualified leads generated
- Sales opportunities created
- Revenue attributed to marketing
- Website traffic and conversion rates
- Search engine rankings
- Advertising performance and return on investment
- Audience growth and engagement
- Campaign reach, enquiries and customer acquisition
- Growth in priority Australian and international markets

We understand that strong marketing takes time, testing and refinement. However, every significant activity should have a clear objective and a method of measuring its effectiveness.

Who We Are Looking For

You will be an experienced marketer with demonstrated capability in B2B and B2C Marketing You should be able to operate strategically while also being willing and able to complete the practical work.

You will ideally have strong experience across:

- SEO and website optimisation
- Google Ads and paid digital advertising
- Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn marketing
- Graphic design and content creation
- Photography and video production
- Lead generation and conversion
- Marketing analytics and performance reporting
- Developing content for complex or technical products

You do not need to arrive knowing every technical detail about fire crew protection or bushfire safety. Our team will help you understand the products, customers and terminology. You do need to know how to extract the important message,

communicate it clearly and take it to market.

You Will Suit This Role If You Are

- Highly experienced and commercially minded
- Proactive and naturally take ownership
- Comfortable working independently
- Creative, but equally focused on measurable results
- Confident turning rough ideas into polished campaigns
- Willing to try new approaches and learn from the results
- Capable of managing several projects without constant supervision

- Excited by the opportunity to make a genuine difference

This role will not suit someone who needs every task mapped out for them or who believes marketing success is measured only by activity. We want someone who sees opportunities, develops solutions and follows them through.

Flexibility and Working Arrangement

We are open to discussing the most suitable arrangement with the right person, including full-time, part-time or another flexible structure. We care far more about ownership, output and measurable results than rigid working hours - and you will be rewarded accordingly.

There will be flexibility in how you structure your time, provided priorities are delivered, communication is strong and agreed outcomes are achieved.

Some onsite involvement will be important for collaboration, product understanding, photography, video production and working with the broader Thermaguard team.

What We Offer

- Excellent remuneration for the right person
- Flexible working arrangements
- Performance-based incentives and bonuses
- The freedom to shape and lead the marketing function
- Direct access to business decision-makers
- A practical, supportive and collaborative team
- The opportunity to work with world-leading fire protection products
- Significant scope for professional and financial growth
- The chance to help grow an Australian manufacturer internationally
- Work that can genuinely contribute to protecting lives

Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to do more than market another ordinary product. You will help firefighters, emergency personnel, organisations and communities understand that better protection is available.

You will help take Australian-designed fire crew protection systems into current markets around the world.

You will have the freedom and responsibility to build campaigns that create genuine commercial growth while supporting the people who put themselves at risk protecting others.

If you are ready to take ownership, produce measurable results and help grow a company with a meaningful purpose, we would like to hear from you.
