We're inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at RAAF Amberley as a Fire Systems Technician.

Responsibilities

- Respond to corrective maintenance work orders and unplanned fire system faults within contract‑specified response times
- Conduct root cause analysis and diagnosis using manuals, standards and asset history
- Perform rectification works including repairs or replacements of faulty fire system components
- Implement make‑protected or temporary repairs when required and escalation of major component replacement
- Verify and test corrective maintenance works, ensuring compliance to standards and Defence policies

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Fire Systems Testing and Inspection
- Fire Protection Accreditation (FPAA), QBCC Fire Protection Licence (QLD), or FPAS Accreditation (NSW)




- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory)
- Post‑trade experience in fire systems fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance and repair
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis, fault finding and compliance testing to restore fire systems to operational condition
- Experience responding to unplanned or reactive work orders within required response times
