AJL Heavy Industries is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team based in Burnie, Tasmania.
We are seeking someone with practical experience in an accounts or finance role who has a solid understanding of day-to-day accounting processes. Whether you've gained your skills through formal study or hands-on experience, we're interested in finding the right person with the right attitude. About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable (Creditors)
- Accounts Receivable (Debtors)
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Processing credit applications
- Creating and maintaining customer and supplier accounts
- Payroll administration and support
- General administrative duties
- Assisting with month-end finance processes
- Supporting the wider finance team with daily accounting activities

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- A sound understanding of debtors, creditors,
bank reconciliations and general accounting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A desire to build a long-term career with a growing business
