The Country Chef Bakery Co. is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our team at our facility in Bells Creekon the Sunshine Coast.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a hands on Purchasing Officer to join our team. Reporting through to our Production Planner, the Purchasing Officer supports the business by ensuring all required products are available and in stock for production to meet customer demand.

About the Role

- Day‑to‑day purchasing operations to maintain optimal stock levels in line with supplier lead times

- Generate and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy across confirmations, pricing, and delivery variances

- Anticipate and mitigate supply risks, including back orders and inventory shortfalls

- Ensure timely ordering to meet manufacturing schedules and service requirements

- Monitor order confirmations, delivery dates and quantities

- Expedite orders where required to prevent production disruption

- Work closely with Planning, Warehousing and Manufacturing to align supply with demand





- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory optimisation

- Ensure purchases align to approved pricing and contracts

- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data in ERP systems

- Ensure correct documentation including POs, delivery dockets and invoices

- Support audits and internal controls

About You

You will be a confident communicator who enjoys a fast paced and busy role.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Demonstrated understanding of purchase order management, including the creation, amendment and maintenance of accurate purchase orders

- Solid stakeholder experience

- Knowledge of stock control and inventory systems and processes

- Proven ability to work autonomously, under pressure and meet deadlines

- Strong Excel knowledge

- Positive can‑do attitude

- Ability to multitask
