Airland Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Export Airfreight Operator to join our dynamic freight and cargo forwarding team. This is a full-time position based in our Applecross, WA facility. As an Export Airfreight Operator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating air export transportation. Your work will be integral to ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant movement of cargo through our operations, directly contributing to our clients' success and our company's reputation in the logistics industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Processing and managing export airfreight shipments from initial booking through to final dispatch
2. Preparing and verifying export documentation including air waybills, customs declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin
3. Coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, and shipping clients to arrange timely collection and delivery of cargo
4. Managing cargo storage, organisation and inventory within the warehouse facility
5. Performing quality checks on shipments to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and client requirements
6. Liaising with customs authorities and government agencies to facilitate smooth export clearance
7. Tracking and monitoring shipments to provide accurate status updates to clients
8. Maintaining detailed records of all export transactions and ensuring accurate data entry into logistics systems
9. Adhering to health, safety and security protocols whilst handling freight and hazardous materials
10. Contributing to the efficiency of warehouse operations and supporting team members as required

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as an Airfreight Operator or in a similar export freight forwarding role
2. Solid knowledge of international shipping documentation, customs procedures, and export regulations
3. Proficiency with freight forwarding software and logistics management systems. Cargo wise experience is mandatory
4.



Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple shipments
5. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and data entry
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients
7. Competency in using Microsoft Office applications and standard computer systems
8. Physical capability to handle freight and materials safely, including occasional heavy lifting
9. A valid driver's licence is advantageous
10. Familiarity with IATA regulations and dangerous goods handling is highly desirable
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
12. Full-time working VISA rights in Australia is mandatory
